Cali's zoo

A few minutes from the Hotel Obelisco is the Cali Zoo, one of the biggest attractions of the city, which gathers wildlife in conservation to the delight especially of the smallest that can discover the wonder of a healthy, friendly and respectful relationship with the animals.

The Cali Zoo is a wonderful meeting place of man with wildlife. It is an ideal place to have fun on group and family trips. The park of 9 hectares, received in 2016 the accreditation of the Association of Zoos and Aquariums AZA, thanks to the high standards of management and care of animals and the development of research and conservation programs.

It consists of a zoo, two research centers and a Wildlife Care Center, an aquarium with 400 m², a butterfly garden with 450 m² of area where more than 1,000 specimens live and an extraordinary Hormiguero Auditorium, which has with a giant screen and a capacity of 108 people.

Of the most interesting animals that can be found are the following specimens that are a journey through the fauna and diversity of the entire world and of the Colombian fauna, especially animals in danger of extinction:
